Current state of uk - July 10, 2019
So Brexit and Covid have added to the toxic environment of the uk. Homophobia, Transphobia and racially motivated hate crimes have risen. With a government who see to relish the rhetoric of hate and division what can we truly do to make change.
In Liverpool we unfortunately could not prevent an arms fair. I was also the victim of unfair dispersal order issued by police based on a lie describing me as a large build black man. Where are we when those who are supposed to protect us are protecting the interest of war mongers. partaking in the murder of innocent children and civilians.
Elites running the country Boris Johnson and his vaudeville clown act have run this country into the ground. Never mind Priti Patel and her hate campaign against those fleeing from wars Britain has supplied arms to see the link. I also want to address the issue of those people of colour who do not speak for all of us as they benefit from this system of oppression with no remorse unfortunately they are no more than race traitors who are just as rich as their tory counterparts. Why are these out of touch people running the country? With no idea of £20 value to the most needy they see merely a drink in one of their bar whereas to some its the difference between eating and not eating.
Recently I met Jeremy Corbyn at a poetry night at the Casa Liverpool. I spoke to him about how culture is the key to change and how we are out of balance with the world, how indigenous people feel the effects of climate change directly. how britain needs to choose a positive path and the mental health system. He was engaging and seems to have a new energy and goal it was a pleasure to meet him.
So what is the hope for the future well this chaos is simply illuminating the problems to be solved. As they erode our rights we fight back we become more aware we live more consciously and evolve. The collective pain and shadow are being revealed to us for healing of our system that is broken and does not work. How do you fix a tap if the plumber is deluded that it still works. Power structures are failing but the people are excelling grassroots is key to our survival lets stop looking to the corrupt top to solve our problems. lets start looking for real leaders who have our interests in their hearts and minds.
